TOUR DETAILS

A trip of a lifetime on ski with pulk in Canada's far north, in Yukon, a wild mountainous boreal landscape. This land of adventure was described by multiple authors like Jack London with his novels "The Call of the Forest" and "White-Fang". Today, you can enjoy traveling across these wild and quiet areas with your family. It is in this Nordic environment that we offer a wonderful adventure on skis with winter overnights, campfire and sled dogs.

Starting from a log cabin in the countryside near Whitehorse, participants loads their pulk and families take off with our local guides for an immersion in the pristine and endless boreal forest, unexplored valleys, untouched mountains and frozen lakes. At this stage, you will experience first hand what true “Wilderness” is.

Adult and teenagers pull their personal gear in a pulk for about 10-12 km each day while the kid's equipment and the shared and heavy equipment is transported by dogteam. During the day, the guide will show you the beauty of this land explaining the northern environment to you and pointing to animals and tracks. Every evening, your guide and the Musher will share with you stories of the Far North around the campfire while watching Northern Lights.

Our team

Passionated, knowlegeable, experienced guides and parents of a little girl. In addition to guiding experience, Raphaelle is a cross-country, downhill and touring ski certified instructor. Fabien is a Canadian ski patrol and was a professional musher and sleddog racer until recently. Both guides have their Wilderness Advanced First Aid.

The groups are very small, 2 to 5 participants to allow for an immersive experience, an intimate connection with nature and with a low environmental impact.

Low carbon footprint

The expedition is a loop that starts and finishes at our log cabin. The only trip by car is a short shuttle to town.

The heavy equipment (canvas tent, wood stove, food) is transported by dog team. We do not use motorized vehicles for re-supplying.

Into the wild

Very high chances to observe northern wildlife (Moose, Caribous, Wolves, Lynx, Coyotes, Eagles) and Northern Lights

You might hear the dogs howling back to the wolves at camp. If interested you will have a chance to try out ski-joring (skiing pulled by a dog) on a frozen lake.

The itinerary of the expedition is unprecedented, the immersion in the true wilderness is striking. We might not even see anyone else on the trail.
