Notre Histoire<\/h1>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Fabien et Rapha\u00eblle<\/em>\u00a0sont tous deux originaires des Alpes en France o\u00f9 ils exer\u00e7aient respectivement les m\u00e9tiers d\u2019instructeur de ski et guide en montagne, et de pisteur secouriste (patrouilleur \u00e0 ski).<\/strong><\/p>\n

En 2014<\/strong>,<\/i> apr\u00e8s avoir v\u00e9cu 15 ans dans le Vercors, dans un chalet en bois, d\u00e9j\u00e0 proche de la nature, \u00e0 sillonner les montagnes \u00e0 pied, \u00e0 ski et \u00e0 tra\u00eeneau, ils d\u00e9cident de suivre leurs r\u00eaves de Grand Nord, au Yukon.<\/p>\n

Depuis, ils vivent dans un petit chalet en bois rond \u00e0 Fish Lake avec leur fille Rose<\/b><\/em> et leurs 8 chiens de tra\u00eeneau. Ils aiment \u00eatre au plus proche de la nature et s\u2019immergent lors de balades de quelques heures \u00e0 plusieurs jours \u00e0 pied, en cano\u00eb, \u00e0 ski et en tra\u00eeneau \u00e0 chien, toujours accompagn\u00e9s par leurs amis canins. Leur eau provient de la rivi\u00e8re, ils vont couper leur bois de chauffage, tirent leur \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 de leur syst\u00e8me solaire, et vivent leur amour de la nature pleinement.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir pass\u00e9 quelques ann\u00e9es au Yukon, Rapha\u00eblle et Fabien on voulu cr\u00e9er une compagnie en commun, qui allie leurs passions et leurs comp\u00e9tences compl\u00e9mentaire, et leur permette de vivre encore plus en ad\u00e9quation avec leur environnement.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est en janvier 2020<\/i><\/strong>, qu\u2019ils passent leur certification du Premier Secours en Milieux Sauvage, et lancent Yu’Ski Expeditions,<\/i> proposant des exp\u00e9ditions \u00e0 ski pulka, ouvertes tant aux enfants qu’aux adultes et aux familles souhaitant skier tous ensemble.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l’\u00e9t\u00e9 2020<\/i><\/strong>, alors que Rapha\u00eblle est assistante francophone aupr\u00e8s des \u00e9l\u00e8ves de l’\u00e9cole \u00e9l\u00e9mentaire Montessori de Whitehorse, ils commencent \u00e0 proposer des camps d’immersion francophone pour les enfants sous le nom de Yu’Speak French Immersion Outdoors<\/i>.<\/p>\n

En d\u00e9cembre 2021<\/i><\/strong>, avec la naissance de\u00a0Rose<\/b><\/em>, une nouvelle aventure commence. Elle a 4 mois lorsqu’elle participe \u00e0 son premier camping d’hiver! Elle aime beaucoup \u00eatre en plein air et avec les chiens. Elle aime aussi rencontrer de nouvelles personnes et d’un sourire les charmer !<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l’automne 2022<\/em>,<\/strong> Rapha\u00eblle et Fabien d\u00e9cident de regrouper leurs activit\u00e9s d’hiver et d’\u00e9t\u00e9 sous un nouveau nom afin\u00a0donner un nouvel \u00e9lan \u00e0 leur activit\u00e9 et cr\u00e9ent The call of the Yukon.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Qui sommes-nous ?<\/h1>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Rapha\u00eblle<\/b><\/em> est passionn\u00e9e par la montagne depuis son plus jeune \u00e2ge et guidait ses premi\u00e8res exp\u00e9ditions \u00e0 21 ans. C\u2019est lors d\u2019un voyage avec ses parents en Laponie qu\u2019elle d\u00e9couvre le Grand Nord. Canadienne de part sa m\u00e8re qui est n\u00e9e et a grandit au Qu\u00e9bec, c\u2019est tout naturellement qu\u2019elle est attir\u00e9e par le Canada. Le Yukon la s\u00e9duira avec ses longs hivers, ses grands espaces et ses montagnes. Aujourd\u2019hui, ayant choisi d\u2019\u00e9lever leur fille au plus proche de la nature, elle s\u2019occupe de Rose \u00e0 la maison. Elle guide et enseigne le ski depuis plus de 20 ans. Elle est la gestionnaire administrative de The call of the Yukon et chaque hiver, encadre b\u00e9n\u00e9volement le ski de fond pour le club de ski Koyotes Kwanlin D\u00fcn. Vous la croiserez peut-\u00eatre parcourant les environs de Fish Lake \u00e0 ski-jo\u00ebring avec ses chiens de tra\u00eeneau et Rose dans le dos !<\/p>\n

Fabien<\/b><\/em> est passionn\u00e9 de nature et d\u2019aventures, d\u00e8s l\u2019adolescence il s\u2019engage dans des projets de voyage en solo dont l\u2019un l\u2019emm\u00e8nera au Qu\u00e9bec apr\u00e8s une travers\u00e9e par l\u2019oc\u00e9an Atlantique. Une autre de ses aventures l\u2019emm\u00e8nera durant deux mois \u00e0 pied dans une travers\u00e9e des Alpes hors des sentiers battus. Par la suite il d\u00e9couvrira le Grand Nord en participant \u00e0 une exp\u00e9dition de tra\u00eeneau \u00e0 chiens de trois mois \u00e0 travers la Sib\u00e9rie, la Chine et la Mongolie. C\u2019est en entra\u00eenant une \u00e9quipe de chiens de tra\u00eeneau pour les courses de la Yukon Quest et de l\u2019Iditarod qu\u2019il d\u00e9couvre le Yukon. Il courra et compl\u00e9tera avec succ\u00e8s plusieurs courses de 500 km, au Yukon et en Alaska. Aujourd\u2019hui, il coure son \u00e9quipe de chien pour le plaisir et pour les exp\u00e9ditions de The call of the Yukon. Vous pouvez le rencontrer \u00e9galement \u00e0 la station de ski du Mt Sima dont il est le chef patrouilleur \u00e0 ski.<\/p>\n

Rose<\/strong><\/em> adore \u00eatre dehors et elle est tr\u00e8s attach\u00e9e aux chiens ! Elle aime venir avec nous sur les sentiers mais aussi se d\u00e9tendre \u00e0 la maison et jouer avec ses jouets pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s\u00a0!
